We are Jesus Abundant Life Church

A people defined not by what we oppose, but by Whom we pursue — the Lord Jesus Christ, Author and Perfecter of life to the full.

Our Journey

A Story of Faith & Purpose

Jesus Abundant Life Church was born from a deep conviction — that the Kingdom of God is not merely a future promise, but a living reality meant to be experienced and demonstrated here and now.

From our earliest days as a small gathering of believers to a growing community of disciples, our journey has been marked by the faithfulness of God. We have seen lives transformed, families restored, and communities touched by the power of the Gospel.

We are a church that believes in the full expression of Kingdom life — through worship, discipleship, fellowship, and Spirit-led action that extends beyond our walls into every corner of the globe.

OUR DOCTRINE

What We Believe

Our faith is not a human invention — it is a divine revelation. Here is what we believe, why we believe it, and what it means for every soul seeking the living God.

We Believe in God

We believe in one God — the eternal, self-existent, uncreated Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is perfectly holy in character, infinite in wisdom, sovereign in power, and unconditional in love. He is the Alpha and the Omega, and there is none like Him (Isaiah 46:9; Revelation 1:8).

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."
Deuteronomy 6:4-5

We believe in the Holy Trinity — one God eternally existing as three distinct Persons: God the FatherGod the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit — coequal, coeternal, one in divine essence (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). God the Father governs all things with love and works everything together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). God the Son became flesh (John 1:14), lived sinlessly, died our death, rose triumphant, and now reigns as Lord of all (1 Timothy 2:5). God the Holy Spirit is fully divine, fully personal — the presence of God within every believer (John 14:16-17; Romans 8:11).

We Believe in The Scriptures

We believe the Bible — all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments — is the inspired, inerrant, and fully authoritative Word of God. Every word was breathed out by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). The Scriptures are the living self-disclosure of the Living God.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Word is alive: “The word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12). We believe it is InspiredInerrantSufficientAuthoritative, and Transforming (Romans 12:2). We approach it with reverence — as children receiving a letter from their Father.

We Believe in Salvation

We believe every human being is born separated from God, incapable of saving themselves (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3). "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23) — an honest diagnosis that makes the cure infinitely glorious.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Salvation is God’s magnificent rescue — executed at Calvary through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is not one path among many — He is the way, the truth, the life (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). Received by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9), available to any soul who turns from sin and trusts in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. The saved person is justified, sanctified, and will be glorified. Nothing can separate them from God’s love (Romans 8:38-39).

We Believe in Grace

Grace is God's unmerited, unearned, entirely undeserved favour poured out on sinful humanity through Jesus Christ. It is not God lowering His standards — it is God meeting us in our total impossibility and doing for us what we could never do for ourselves.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe in Saving Grace — God’s rescue of the guilty through the blood of Jesus (Romans 5:8); Sustaining Grace — daily mercy and strength for the Christian life (2 Corinthians 12:9); and Sanctifying Grace — the Spirit’s progressive work to conform believers into the image of Christ (Titus 2:11-12). At this church, we will never graduate from grace.

We Believe in Baptism

We believe in water baptism as a meaningful, obedient, and joyful public declaration of the inward transformation through faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism does not save — salvation comes by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). But it is a significant act of obedience for every born-again believer.

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
Romans 6:4

We practise believer’s baptism — the baptism of those who have made a personal, conscious confession of faith in Jesus (Acts 2:38; 8:12; 16:31-33). It is a three-fold proclamation: identification with the death and resurrection of Christ; testimony to the watching world; and obedience to Jesus’ direct command (Matthew 28:19). We celebrate baptisms with great joy.

We Believe in Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third Person of the Triune God — fully divine, fully personal, and fully active today. Jesus promised the Father would send "another Helper" to be with His people forever (John 14:16-17). This was fulfilled dramatically at Pentecost, and His ministry has never paused.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Acts 1:8

The Holy Spirit indwells every born-again believer from the moment of salvation, sealing them permanently as God’s own (Ephesians 1:13-14). He convicts, comforts, counsels, corrects, and empowers for holy living and effective witness. We believe in the present-day operation of the spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12; Ephesians 4) and neither suppress what the Spirit desires to do, nor pursue gifts above the Giver (1 Thess. 5:19-21).

We Believe in the Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, physical, visible, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ — a sworn promise of God, attested by angels (Acts 1:11), foretold by prophets, declared throughout the New Testament with unmistakable clarity. It is not metaphor. It is a coming King.

"This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."
Acts 1:11

This hope fuels our mission. Because Jesus is coming again, every moment matters eternally. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead and the final judgment of all humanity. The righteous will enter eternal life in God’s presence; the unrighteous will face eternal separation. These are not comfortable truths — but they are true. And this is precisely why we preach with passion and refuse to be silent (Acts 4:12).
